The Operational Technical Unit (UTO in french) of EDF is the entity which takes care of selection, qualification and follow-up of external companies which supply services or material for EDF. To accomplish this task, they audit quality crontrol system of EDF suppliers.They also assign UTO certification, which allow a supplier to intervene in EDF production sites. This certification refers to quality insurance requirements precised in UTO note 85/114.
